Ever since I was a child I was always fascinated by the idea that human beings could travel to space in spaceships. Conquer and explore new territories, new civilizations. To live adventures. My fantasy was mainly fueled by movies. “Star Wars” and “Star Trek” in a first stage, and later the huge “2001” and “Solaris”. And all those images were always accompanied by music. Soundtracks that I started to buy and collect eagerly. Soundtracks that fed my dreams when I wasn’t in front of the screen.

I gradually realized that I would not be able to fulfill any of those 2 dreams. The first and most obvious, to travel to space; and the second, putting music to a movie comparable to those I listened to and listen to.

And from there the idea of ​​composing a soundtrack for an imaginary film was born more than a year ago. A film that would speak of a great space trip. The last challenge in the conquest of the human being: reach Mars. The second great challenge for human beings in this new century, after having lost interest in completing the first and most important: saving their own planet from destruction.

“Mars One” is an open experiment. A soundtrack for a non-existent movie. The imagination and suggestion that the music itself and the titles of each of these tracks make in your minds will determine that the “narrative” experience is different for each listener.


All the songs that make up this work are live recordings of improvisations without programming or “overdubbing”. No computer used in this recording except for the mastering.

Desde que era un niño siempre me fascinó la idea de que el ser humano pudiese viajar al espacio en naves espaciales. Conquistar y explorar nuevos territorios, nuevas civilizaciones. Vivir aventuras. Mi fantasía se alimentaba principalmente de películas. “Star Wars” y “Star Trek” en una primera etapa, y posteriormente las enormes “2001” y “Solaris”. Y todas aquellas imágenes siempre iban acompañadas de música. Bandas sonoras que empecé a comprar y coleccionar ávidamente. Bandas sonoras que alimentaban mis sueños cuando no estaba delante de la pantalla.

Gradualmente me di cuenta de que no podría realizar ninguno de aquellos 2 sueños. El primero y más obvio, viajar al espacio; y el segundo, poner música a una película equiparable a aquellas que escuchaba y escucho.

Y de ahí nació ya hace más de 1 año la idea de componer una banda sonora para una película imaginaria. Una película que hablaría de un gran viaje espacial. El último reto en la conquista del ser humano: llegar Marte. El segundo gran reto para el ser humano en este nuevo siglo, después de haber perdido el interés por completar el primero y más importante: salvar su propio planeta de la destrucción.

“Mars One” es un experimento de improvisación musical abierto. Una banda sonora para una película inexistente. La imaginación y la sugestión que la propia música y los títulos de cada una de estas pistas hagan en nuestras mentes condicionarán que la experiencia “narrativa” sea diferente para cada oyente.


Todos los temas que componen esta obra son grabaciones en directo de improvisaciones sin programación u “overdubbing”. No se han usado ordenadores salvo para trabajos de masterización.
