El avance de la humanidad por territorios que combinan lo "humorístico" y lo "distópico", lo "simpático" y lo "terrorífico" es el germen de partida para la creación de esta obra. Las ideas que los "nuevos" visionarios digitales nos presentan como "la nueva frontera" generan una efímera simpatía, que se transforma abruptamente en un terror absoluto. Una nueva forma de control más almidonada, más colorida y dulce que aquella de 1984, pero igual de abominable.

"Shōmyō for the Metaverse" is the fifth album by audiovisual artist Iván Puñal in his project "Una Visión Agradable", also recorded live through free improvisation.
The advance of humanity through territories that combine the "humorous" and the "dystopian", the "funny" and the "terrifying" is the starting point for the creation of this work. The ideas that the "new" digital visionaries present to us as "the new frontier" generate a fleeting sympathy, which abruptly transforms into absolute terror. A new form of control starchier, more colorful and sweeter than that of 1984, but just as abominable.
